Constructed from premium Toray T700 & T800 carbon fibre, custom ultra-light carbon spokes and UPVINE's own precision-engineered hub system, every component has been designed to work together as one complete performance package.

Unlike many ultra-lightweight wheelsets, the Ultra features a hooked tubeless-compatible rim, providing greater tyre compatibility, improved tyre security and confidence across a wide range of tyre pressures.

Aerospace-Inspired Hub Engineering

At the heart of every Ultra wheelset is UPVINE's own lightweight hub, designed, engineered and manufactured entirely in-house.

Manufactured from an ultra-high-strength aluminium alloy from the same material family used in advanced aerospace applications, the complete hubset weighs just 250g while delivering exceptional fatigue resistance and durability.

Each hub is fitted with high-precision bearings developed exclusively for UPVINE, reducing rolling resistance while ensuring smooth, reliable performance season after season.

ConicalSync™ Tangent Engagement

The Ultra features UPVINE's innovative ConicalSync™ 60T Tangent Engagement System, engineered for immediate power transfer under load.

Its 60-tooth conical ratchet delivers a rapid 6° engagement angle, while the tangent tooth profile increases contact area by approximately 10% compared with conventional radial ratchet systems. The result is greater engagement stability, improved torque capacity and an instantly responsive ride feel whenever you accelerate.

Engineered Around Carbon

The Ultra combines premium Toray carbon rims with custom ultra-light carbon spokes to create an exceptionally stiff yet remarkably lightweight wheelset.

An asymmetric rim profile balances spoke tension across both sides of the wheel, increasing lateral rigidity and long-term stability without adding unnecessary weight.

Unlike many carbon spoke wheelsets, the Ultra uses external spoke nipples, allowing technicians to true and service the wheels without removing the tyre—making maintenance significantly simpler throughout the life of the wheelset.

The hooked tubeless-compatible rim provides outstanding tyre security while remaining compatible with both tubeless and clincher tyres.

UPVINE also employs a rim tape-free tubeless design, reducing weight while eliminating the possibility of rim tape failure or air leaks.
