Terms of service

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through OFFTHEFRONT.cc and to your use of our website.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

1. About Us

This website is operated by Off The Front ("we", "us", "our").

For questions about an order, product or these Terms & Conditions, please contact us at:

Email: sales@offthefront.cc

2. Using Our Website

By using our website or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • you are legally able to enter into a contract

  • the information you provide to us is accurate and up to date

  • you will use the website only for lawful purposes

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to your purchase will be the version in effect when your order is placed.

3. Products & Descriptions

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, weights and pricing are accurate.

However:

  • product images are for illustrative purposes

  • colours, finishes and appearance may vary depending on lighting, photography and your display

  • manufacturers may make minor specification or packaging changes

  • stated product weights may be subject to manufacturing tolerances

  • compatibility and fitment may vary between bicycle brands, models and configurations

Where a manufacturer's stated specification or tolerance applies, this may be shown within the relevant product description.

It is your responsibility to ensure that a product is suitable and compatible with your intended application.

If you're unsure about compatibility or fitment, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to help.

4. Installation & Use

Many of the products we sell are specialist bicycle components that require correct installation, adjustment and maintenance.

Products should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and, where appropriate, by a suitably experienced or qualified bicycle mechanic.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from incorrect installation, incorrect adjustment, misuse, modification, neglect or use of a product in a manner contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights in relation to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

5. Orders & Acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

You will normally receive an email acknowledging that we have received your order. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example:

  • an item is unavailable

  • payment cannot be authorised

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity

  • there is an obvious pricing, description or listing error

  • we are unable to supply the product

  • incorrect customer or delivery information has been provided

If we are unable to accept an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

6. Pricing & Payment

Prices are displayed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

Any applicable taxes will be shown as required.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

We take reasonable care to ensure prices are accurate. However, errors can occasionally occur.

If we discover an obvious pricing error after you place an order, we may contact you to give you the option of purchasing the item at the correct price or cancelling the order for a full refund.

Payment is taken through the payment methods offered at checkout.

7. Availability

Products shown on our website may be:

  • held in UK stock

  • available to order from one of our suppliers

  • available for pre-order

Stock availability can occasionally change before our systems are updated.

If we are unable to supply an item you have ordered, we will contact you and offer an appropriate solution, which may include an alternative product, revised delivery estimate or refund.

8. Pre-Orders & Products Available to Order

Certain products may be offered for pre-order or with an estimated future dispatch date.

Any dispatch or availability timeframe shown for these products is an estimate based on the information available to us at the time.

Supplier production schedules, international transport, customs clearance and other factors outside our reasonable control can affect these estimates.

If there is a significant change to the expected availability of your order, we will endeavour to keep you informed.

Ordering a product on pre-order or one that we obtain specially from a supplier does not, by itself, remove any statutory cancellation or return rights you may have.

Where an item is genuinely personalised or manufactured specifically to your requirements, different cancellation rights may apply. Any such restriction will be made clear before you place your order.

9. Delivery

Available delivery methods and charges are displayed at checkout.

Delivery and dispatch times are estimates unless we expressly state otherwise.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as courier disruption, severe weather, customs delays or other exceptional events. If a significant delay occurs, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

For UK consumer orders, responsibility for the goods generally remains with us until the goods are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them, subject to applicable consumer law.

Please check that your delivery information is accurate before placing your order.

10. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us at sales@offthefront.cc as soon as possible.

If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will endeavour to cancel it before shipment.

If it has already been dispatched, you may need to receive and return the item in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For most goods purchased online, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel their purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to certain exceptions.

Our separate 30-day change-of-mind returns policy provides additional time for eligible products and does not affect your statutory rights.

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying the return postage in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

11. Returns & Refunds

Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Our standard change-of-mind policy allows eligible items to be returned within 30 days, provided they meet the conditions stated in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in our returns policy affects your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods.

12. Faulty Goods & Warranty

If you believe a product is faulty, please contact us at sales@offthefront.cc with your order details and information about the issue.

We may ask for photographs, video or other reasonable information to help assess the problem.

Where appropriate, a product may need to be returned for inspection or referred to the manufacturer or distributor as part of a warranty assessment.

Any manufacturer's warranty offered with a product is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

13. Website Availability

We may update, modify, suspend or withdraw parts of our website, product ranges or services from time to time.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or uninterrupted.

This does not affect any rights you have in relation to an order that we have already accepted.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including text, graphics, photographs, logos, videos and website design, is owned by or licensed to Off The Front and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without permission from the relevant rights holder.

Product names, logos and trademarks belonging to manufacturers and other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

15. Third-Party Services & Shopify

Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer products and services to you.

We may also use third-party services for functions including payments, delivery, analytics and other website functionality.

Any purchase you make from our store is made directly with Off The Front, not Shopify.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for losses caused by:

  • incorrect installation, adjustment or maintenance

  • misuse or modification of a product

  • using a product for a purpose for which it was not designed

  • incompatibility where adequate compatibility information was provided or where we were not asked to confirm suitability

  • events outside our reasonable control

Where you are purchasing as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business or commercial opportunity arising from your purchase.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our store is hosted by Shopify and we also use selected third-party providers to process information necessary to operate our website, fulfil orders and provide our services.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, services or applicable law.

The latest version will be published on this page.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms applicable to an order already placed unless required by law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed or limited to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

20. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for a delay or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where such an event affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with you where appropriate.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to the part of the UK in which you live.

Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.
