SafeguardCore™ PBO-Carbon Hybrid Spokes

One of the defining technologies of the PRO PLUS is UPVINE's patented SafeguardCore™ PBO-Carbon Hybrid spoke.

Instead of relying solely on carbon fibre, each spoke combines a carbon outer structure with a high-performance PBO fibre core.

PBO fibre offers a tensile strength more than 10 times greater than conventional carbon fibre, providing an additional layer of protection during extreme impacts or unexpected riding situations.

The result is exceptional lateral stiffness while introducing a level of structural redundancy rarely found in performance wheelsets.

Unlike traditional radial ratchet systems, the tangent tooth profile increases contact area between engagement surfaces by approximately 10%, creating faster engagement, greater torque capacity and improved long-term reliability.

Combined with wider internal rim widths and modern tyre profiles, the PRO PLUS balances aerodynamic efficiency with predictable handling and excellent crosswind stability.

DualBalance™ Geometry System

UPVINE's DualBalance™ Geometry System combines carefully engineered hub geometry with a 2:1 rear spoke lacing pattern to optimise spoke bracing angles and balance spoke tension across both sides of the wheel.

This produces a wheel that feels exceptionally stiff during hard efforts while maintaining outstanding long-term durability and stability.
