Why an 18T Pulley?
Most rear derailleurs use an 11-tooth lower pulley, forcing the chain through a relatively tight angle as it passes around the derailleur.
Tripeak's oversized 18-tooth tension pulley allows the chain to follow a shallower path, reducing chain articulation and lowering mechanical resistance. The result is smoother drivetrain operation, more efficient power transfer and improved shifting consistency, especially under load.
The larger pulley also accommodates a larger bearing, reducing rotational speed for a given cadence and contributing to improved durability and long-term performance.
Patented Asymmetric Frame Design
One of the defining features of the Jetstream Pro is Tripeak's patented asymmetric pulley frame.
Rather than requiring a completely new derailleur cage, the innovative design allows the oversized 18T pulley to integrate seamlessly with the original SRAM XPLR derailleur. Installation is quick and straightforward using standard workshop tools, making it one of the easiest oversized pulley upgrades available.
Why Composite Pulleys?
Tripeak's pulley wheels use an injection-moulded PA+GF composite body that fully encapsulates the bearing, creating an exceptionally precise zero-tolerance fit.
Compared to traditional machined aluminium pulleys, the composite construction offers improved wear resistance, quieter operation and reduced wear on the chain. The result is smoother performance that lasts ride after ride.
Combined with Tripeak's Narrow-Wide tooth profile, chain engagement is improved for greater drivetrain stability over rough gravel terrain.
Nano-Coated Ceramic Bearings
The Jetstream Pro features Tripeak's premium NC Race G3 Ceramic Bearings.
Precision G3-grade ceramic balls, nano-coated bearing races, Supra LV low-viscosity lubricant and Zero Contact seals all work together to minimise friction while maintaining excellent protection against contamination.
Rather than focusing solely on ceramic bearing balls, Tripeak optimises every part of the bearing system to deliver outstanding efficiency, durability and consistently smooth rotation.

Proven at the Highest Level
Performance isn't just developed in the workshop—it's proven in the peloton. Tripeak drivetrain components are trusted by riders competing at the highest level of professional cycling, including the XDS Astana Team and Lidl–Trek. Developed to meet the demands of elite racing, the Jetstream Pro delivers the efficiency, reliability and precision expected when every watt counts.
Why We Stock It
The Jetstream Pro is more than an oversized pulley upgrade. Every detail—from the patented asymmetric frame and oversized pulley geometry to the composite pulley construction and advanced ceramic bearing technology—has been developed as a complete system. For riders investing in SRAM's latest XPLR AXS E1 groupset, it's one of the most refined drivetrain upgrades available, delivering smoother shifting, lower friction and long-term reliability both on the road and beyond it.
